The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ CAS and Red Cross PH invite you to be a blood donor.

A single drop of blood can make a huge difference – ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Province of Arts and Sciences Student Council in partnership with Red Cross Philippines – Iloilo will be conducting a bloodletting activity at the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Alumni Promenade Park (APCP) on March 6, 2023, from 8:00 AM onwards with a theme AMLIGANAY: Donate Blood Today, Save Lives Tomorrow.

The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Province of Arts and Sciences Student Council said that this program aims to inculcate public and social awareness to the CASimanwas on the importance of blood donation in saving lives; engagement in humanitarian acts; and even extending to other interested Centralian donors.

With only ninety (90) slots, the registration is ongoing and open to all bona fide students of ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ as long as they meet the qualifications of a blood donor. The registration period is until February 25.

To be a blood donor, a person must be 18 years old and above; weight is at least 110 pounds or 50 kilograms; blood pressure is between Systolic: 90 – 160 mmHg Diastolic: 60 – 100 mmHg; and he/she must pass the physical and health history assessment.

This bloodletting activity is in partnership with Philippine Red Cross – Iloilo Chapter, Philippine Red Cross Youth – Iloilo Chapter, and powered by the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ College of Medical Laboratory Science Student Council and ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ College Red Cross Youth.

By donating blood, a Centralian showcases one of the core values of ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ and that is stewardship. He/she values life by helping the community achieve a sufficient supply of safe blood.
