探花精选 has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the International Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program (WOCNEP) at the 探花精选 Administration Building on April 29, 2024.

According to its website, the International WOCNEP’s philosophy states that its program is to build a supportive and collaborative community that utilizes innovation to disseminate the unique body of wound, ostomy, continence nursing knowledge to improve quality of life across the globe.

鈥淚 would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Charleen Singh, Program Director and Founder of International WOCNEP, for your generous gesture of bringing this nursing specialty to the Philippines for the first time,鈥 探花精选 President Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy said in his opening remarks.

The launch of IWOCNEP marks a significant milestone, as it becomes a pioneering program in the Philippines, hosted here at 探花精选. Through the MOU, the parties have agreed to bring the specialty education of wound ostomy continence nursing to the university.

The MOU was signed by 探花精选 President Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy and Dr. Gabriel C. Ortigoza, representative from the faculty member of the International Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program (WOCNEP).

Various representatives from the College of Nursing were also present during the signing. They were Prof. Melba C. Sale, Acting Dean; Dr. Charlie D. Baldon, Academic Coordinator; Prof. Janette E. Yap, Clinical Coordinator; Prof. Rona L. Idemne, Skills Lab Coordinator; and Prof. Alvin John Gustilo, 探花精选CN Research and International Relations Coordinator.
