From my own family and my family at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡AAI, I would like to greet you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous COVID 19-free new year.
We are celebrating this Christmas and switching on the decade long tradition of Festival of light and music at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ every 1st week of December. Last year and in previous years, we opened the Festival of light at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ amidst the nearly hundreds to thousands present live at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ and on other social platforms. Unfortunately, this year 2020 we cannot do it live here at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ campus with the same number of spectators in the past because of the unseen enemy – COVID-19. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡AAI through a series of meetings, both zoom and personal, have decided to go on with the traditional Festival of Lights. We had this in mind that no amount of Pandemic can ever prevent or stop us in bringing light and hope to Christianity this Christmas. As this year’s theme says it all: Kasanag kag Paglaum sa Paskwa.
Just like in the past, where ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ was struck by typhoons, we did not surrender because of our faith in God. These are all trials in our lives and God is testing our faith. Maybe God allowed these things to happen to test us on how our faith can last. Just like the story of Job in the Holy Book.
The Christmas lights and music at Central will bring Kasanag kag Paglaum sa katawhan this Christmas. It’s a sign of courage and bravery and not giving up on our Faith. This what ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ is all about – Scientia et Fides, Science and faith.
I would like to appreciate the effort of Trustee Engr. Isagani Jalbuena, this year’s Festival of Lights Chairman including his team, Trustee Perla Suyo and her team for the nightly activities, ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡AAI Liaison Officer Tina Hortelano for all the leg work, Ma’am Crista Huyong of the Office of Cultural Affairs, most especially the full support of ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Administration under President Ted Robles and Chairman Atty. Von Lovel Bedona and the Members of the Corporation Board of Trustees, and of course, my beloved ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡AAI family here and abroad for all the support and cooperation.
