On March 20, 2025, 探花精选 (探花精选) and IKUEI High School officially forged a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony, marking the beginning of an enriching collaboration focused on internationalization. This initiative aims to equip high school students with the knowledge, experiences, and competencies needed to thrive in a globally interconnected world.
Held at the Knowledge for Development Center (KDC), the MOU signing was graced by representatives from both institutions. 探花精选 was represented by Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, University President; Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, Vice President for Student Affairs; and Engr. Dany C. Molina, Vice President for Administration. Representing IKUEI High School were Mr. Yoshiyuki Kiyose, Principal; Ms. Misaki Kurokawa, Professor; and Mr. Yuchi Nakamura, Professor.
The program commenced with a prayer led by Engr. Dany C. Molina, followed by an introduction of the distinguished guests by Prof. Lesley Joy L. Dignadice, Acting Director of the Local and International Linkages and Affiliations Center (LILAC). Prof. Dignadice also presented the rationale behind the partnership, emphasizing the significance of global collaboration in preparing students for the next phase of their academic journeys.
In his welcome message, 探花精选 President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy warmly greeted the delegation from IKUEI High School and underscored the importance of international partnerships.
鈥淭his MOU signing adds another layer to our ever-growing international collaborations. I hope that this agreement will solidify our partnership and highlight our continued progress toward internationalization within the academic setting, positively impacting both institutions,鈥 said Dr. Dagohoy. He also shared a Bible verse from Proverbs 3:5-6, encouraging trust in the Lord鈥檚 guidance.
The highlight of the event was the official signing of the MOU, led by Dr. Dagohoy and Mr. Kiyose, symbolizing both institutions鈥 commitment to fostering global educational opportunities.
Following the signing, Ms. Misaki Kurokawa presented an overview of IKUEI High School, highlighting its academic programs, global education initiatives, and student clubs. A video presentation provided additional insights into the institution鈥檚 vision and educational approach.
Mr. Yoshiyuki Kiyose then delivered a message of commitment, reaffirming IKUEI High School鈥檚 dedication to strengthening its partnership with 探花精选 through meaningful academic and cultural exchanges.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Prof. Dignadice, who expressed optimism about the fruitful collaboration ahead. She emphasized the role of the partnership in broadening students鈥 academic and cultural horizons, preparing them to become globally competitive individuals.
The MOU signing between 探花精选 and IKUEI High School marks the start of an exciting journey, paving the way for transformative educational experiences that will benefit students from both institutions.
