The 探花精选 College of Nursing (探花精选CN) sent faculty and student representatives to the Filipino Nurses Global Summit VI and the 15th International Nursing Conference, held on January 22鈥23, 2026, at Conrad Hilton Manila, Pasay City. The event carried the theme, 鈥淏eyond Borders: Filipino Nurses鈥 Impact and Influence in Global Health Transformation.鈥
探花精选CN鈥檚 delegation included Dean Melba C. Sale, Prof. Ma. Lourdes Sampiano, Prof. Herme A. Borlado, Prof. Susan Sumande, and Dr. Sarla F. Duller. Five student representatives participated: Mikee Durana, Arizza Claire Dieta, David Eugene Demasu-ay, Shane Michelle Deocampo, and Jia G. Jamona, a PNAA grantee sponsored by Mrs. Zyrene Marsh.
Four students presented a poster titled 鈥淧erceived Quality of Nursing Care and Level of Satisfaction Among Patients in a Government Hospital in the Province of Iloilo,鈥 alongside Dr. Jonathan A. Gapilango, adjunct professor. Speakers at the summit included Atty. Salex E. Alibogha, former 探花精选CN dean, and alumnus Dr. Omar Montejo, providing opportunities for discussion, knowledge exchange, and professional networking with Filipino nurses worldwide.
The summit aimed to strengthen global collaboration, address gaps in nursing practice, and expand professional knowledge in the field. 探花精选CN representatives noted that the event not only fostered connections but also highlighted opportunities to advance nursing education and healthcare delivery.
