On February 8, 2025, the 探花精选 鈥 National Service Training Program (探花精选-NSTP) held a plenary session focused on 鈥淩eview of Community Dynamics鈥 gathering students from the Civic Welfare and Training Service (CWTS) program. Held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, the lecture emphasized the complexities of community structures, relationships, and the role of individuals in fostering positive change.
The event began with an invocation led by Mrs. Myla Ca帽as, which was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and 探花精选 Alma Mater song. Mrs. Ma. Leen C. Gahum, RL, delivered the opening remarks. Afterward, Mrs. Shirley Dario, formally introduced the esteemed resource speaker for the plenary session.
The lecture on 鈥淩eview of Community Dynamics鈥 was thoroughly delivered by Prof. Chloe Dawn G. Lagarto, RSW, MSSW, Social Welfare Officer VI of DSWD Field Office VI. In her keynote address, Prof. Lagarto shared her experiences on how communities grow, adapt, and respond to external and internal pressures. She also provided valuable insights into how students can apply their learning from the NSTP program in real-world settings, empowering them to create meaningful change in society.
Following the informative lecture, 探花精选-NSTP Coordinator Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos, RN, MN, along with 探花精选 NSTP-CWTS Coordinator Ma. Leen C. Gahum, RL, led the presentation of a certificate and token of appreciation to Prof. Chloe Dawn G. Lagarto for her invaluable contribution in making the plenary session a success.
