To widen its audience, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ TV Channel will air its programs on Sky Cable on September 1.

Starting September 1, 2020, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ TV Channel will once again be seen by subscribers of the Sky Cable Iloilo on Channel 31.

The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Board of Trustees has decided on its regular meeting that aside from the social media presence of the university on Facebook and Youtube, it will lease a cable channel in Sky Cable. This is to widen the audience of the university, to promote to prospective students, and to cater to the alumni. The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ President, Dr. Teodoro C. Robles last August 26, 2020. The contract will end on February 28, 2021 if not renewed before that.

The Sky Cable Iloilo has more than 10,000 subscribers in Iloilo City, Pavia, Leganes and San Miguel, Iloilo.

It can be recalled that ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ is the first university to have a cable channel in Iloilo via Sun Cable last 1996. It was first called as the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Alumni TV Channel. Later it was transferred to Cable Star and then Sky Cable. From 1996 to 2018, ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ has aired different programs, shows and activities through its cable channel. Now, it is back again.

The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ TV Channel is under the supervision of Ms. Nestle Taala and ably supported by Mr. Dionisio Coronado, and Mr. Simon Peter Jandinero. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Educational Media Center personnel headed by Mr. Donald Lebrilla, and supported by Mr. Rodie Leysa, and Mr. Jan Caras also help out in the production of the videos. The two offices are under the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Office of Communications.
