Imprinting our identity 鈥 探花精选 through authors and editors Rev. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Director of the Office of Communications; Dr. Ananias C. Sabijon, Jr., Director of the 探花精选 Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) and the chairperson of the University Review of Instructional Materials Committee; and Prof. Rea Angelica F. Villeza, chairperson of the Department of Religion and Ethics in 探花精选, released a new publication called We Are 探花精选: Our Reasons for Being, embedding the institution鈥檚 goal, mission and vision statement, quality policy, core values, standards and decalogues, among others.
Rev. Jalando-on shares a glimpse of 探花精选 through the We Are 探花精选 Book to the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, Chinese University of Hong Kong, to the libraries of ATESEA, and to UBCHEA.
This precious material published and exclusively distributed by 探花精选 in Jaro, Iloilo City with ISBN: 978-621-8210-21-9 is dedicated to 鈥渁ll Centralians whose lives had been formed and transformed by the Lord Jesus Christ through Exemplary Christian Education for Life (EXCEL) they had received from 探花精选.鈥
Written in its foreword are the words from the university president Dr. Teodoro C. Robles expressing, 鈥淭his book, We Are 探花精选: Our Reasons for Being, explains and illustrates to us our raison d鈥檈tre. It talks about our history, our core values, our philosophy and purpose, and all other things that make 探花精选 the University that it is. It is my hope that the faculty and staff, students, alumni, and even our friends and partner institutions will go over these pages and appreciate 探花精选 more. More importantly, may this publication highlight the main source of 探花精选’s longevity and success – the Lord Jesus Christ.鈥
Rev. Jalando-on, during his study leave, was able to share a copy of the said book with the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, Chinese University of Hong Kong; with the libraries of The Association for Theological Education in South East Asia (ATESEA) scholars; and with the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (UBCHEA).
