探花精选 NSTP faculty members and students pose for a photo opportunity with resource speaker IA III JYXYVZCKY Escrupolo, Chief of the Preventive Education and Community Involvement Section, following the plenary session on drug education.

The 探花精选 National Service Training Program (探花精选 NSTP) held a Christ Emphasis Week (CEW) convocation and plenary session on drug education on August 8, 2026, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.

The program opened with a welcome message from CWTS Coordinator Ma. Leen C. Gahum, RL, followed by the reading of the Shepherd Psalm and the singing of praise and worship songs led by the 探花精选 NSTP Band.

The opening prayer was led by the song leader, while CWTS Faculty Leonance E. Catalu帽a, LPT, delivered the Scripture reading. Melanie G. Hermano, RL, MLIS, also a CWTS Faculty, introduced Rev. Franz Hestia Lovejoy Quimpo-Leysa, Associate Pastor for the Youth of the University Church, who delivered the CEW message.

In her message, Rev. Quimpo-Leysa anchored her message on this semester鈥檚 theme, 鈥淔ully Alive! Reject the Thief, Follow the Shepherd,鈥 based on the biblical text of John 10:9鈥10. She emphasized the call to live fully through Christ by recognizing and rejecting influences that lead individuals away from God and choosing to follow Christ, the Good Shepherd, who guides His people toward a life of purpose, faith, and obedience.

The first part of the program concluded with a closing prayer before proceeding to the plenary session on drug education.

The second part began with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the 探花精选 Alma Mater Song, followed by an intermission number by Elisha Caramel S. Vilvar, a student from Stubcode 25.


Rev. Franz Hestia Lovejoy Quimpo-Leysa shares a message anchored on the theme 鈥淔ully Alive! Reject the Thief, Follow the Shepherd鈥 during the 探花精选 NSTP Christ Emphasis Week Convocation.

Chilou P. Batoon, RL, CWTS Faculty, introduced the resource speaker, IA III JYXYVZCKY Escrupolo, Chief of the Preventive Education and Community Involvement Section, who delivered the plenary presentation on drug education.

In her presentation, she provided participants with information and insights on addressing drug-related concerns and promoting awareness within the community. She discussed the importance of understanding the effects and risks associated with drug use, as well as the role of education and preventive measures in helping individuals make informed and responsible decisions. The presentation also highlighted the importance of community involvement in promoting a safe and drug-free environment.

An open forum followed the presentation, providing participants with an opportunity to raise questions and engage in discussions related to drug education and prevention.

The program also included the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation and a token to the resource speaker, facilitated by 探花精选 NSTP Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos, MN, RN, and Ma. Leen C. Gahum, RL.

The program concluded with announcements, followed by a closing prayer led by Ronaliza M. Cenal, MBA, CWTS Faculty.
