The 探花精选 Alumni Association, Inc. (探花精选AAI) has officially selected the winning logo design for the Grand Alumni Homecoming and University Week 2026, with Niel Simon T. Fasciol, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Digital Media and Interactive Arts (BSDMIA) student, emerging as the winner of the On-the-Spot Logo Design Contest.
Fasciol鈥檚 entry was selected during the awarding ceremony held on July 10, 2026, at the 探花精选 Alumni Affairs Office Building. The winning design was chosen from entries submitted during the On-the-Spot Logo Design Contest conducted on June 26, 2026, at the MTCL 8 Mary Thomas Building. The competition was anchored on the theme, 鈥淐entral Spirit: Uniting Generations,鈥 highlighting the shared heritage, achievements, and enduring connection among generations of Centralians.
As the contest winner, Fasciol received a certificate of recognition and a cash prize of 鈧5,000. Other participants鈥擪ristoff Ayl P. Lim, BSCS-2; Erika Mae C. Pama, BSCS-2; Nessa Joy C. Calantoc, BSPkgE-2; Harit Angel C. Alfaras, BSDMIA-2; Kate Phoebe C. Alfaras, BSDMIA-4; Cathryn Freya P. Mendoza, BEED-3; and Shaira J. Villacrucis, BSDMIA-3鈥攚ere also recognized with certificates and consolation prizes for their entries.
The winning logo will serve as the official visual identity of the Grand Alumni Homecoming and University Week 2026 and will be used in event apparel, promotional materials, memorabilia, and digital platforms throughout the celebration.
The logo entries were evaluated by a panel of judges composed of Rev. Dr. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Director of the Office of Communications; Ms. Grace Ann C. Jardenil, part-time faculty member of the College of Computer Studies; and Assoc. Prof. Clarece P. Benjamin, faculty member of the Department of Languages and Mass Communication.
The awarding ceremony was attended by key university officials, including Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, 探花精选 Vice President for Student Affairs; Dr. Anita U. Illenberger, 探花精选AAI President; Rev. Dr. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Director of the Office of Communications; Dr. Anna May T. Zerrudo, QAAC Director; Prof. Sharlene Gotico, QAAC Associate Director; Mrs. Tina Poblacion Hortelano, 探花精选AAI Liaison Officer; John Lloyd Panizales, 探花精选 Republic Prime Minister; Assoc. Prof. Claire Anne D. Jardenil, faculty member of the Department of Languages and Mass Communication; and Assoc. Prof. Clarece P. Benjamin, faculty member of the Department of Languages and Mass Communication.
The selection of the winning logo reflects 探花精选AAI鈥檚 commitment to promoting creativity and strengthening the bond among generations of Centralians as the university celebrates its legacy and alumni spirit.
