On Thursday, February 1st, 2018,听The 探花精选 Middle School听 hosted the annual听Science Recycling Fashion Show and quite literally modeled their understanding of the听importance of using the Earth's resources wisely.听
Under the leadership of the Science department, students gathered used textiles and other materials that are听especially difficult to recycle or reuse, such as Styrofoam cups, plastic garbage bags, bubble wrap, drinking straws,听 and听six-pack rings and creatively turned them into useful and听fashionable clothing and accessories. After many hours of preparation and rehearsal, student performed an energized and exciting fashion show for their parents, teachers and fellow students.听听This experiential way of听learning deeply embeds understanding of lessons first grounded in classroom and builds fun and community along the way.
